The soul also has four seasons

This is what I want you to know – that you can find no firmer foundation than Jesus Christ.

It’s a trait of us humans that we create many kinds of organizations and groups, only to end up at some point relying on them as if they were God. But at the end of the day, these are nothing more than human constructs. They are not things you can truly rely on. You have to find something that you can really put your trust in. This process of discovery takes time. It takes perseverance – and it requires love.

In my previous lecture I spoke about “The Four Seasons of the Soul”. Yes, the soul also has four seasons. Spring is the season of buds and hope. Summer is about joy. Fall is about doubt and change. Winter is dry darkness. Perhaps it would be accurate to say that right now Japan is in the dark season of winter: The trees are bare of leaves. The air is chilled and there is a heavy atmosphere.
